Advancing future-ready infrastructure solutions to transform learning for students.

Learning Landscapes Challenge

A $2.2 million competition to design and build future-ready K-12 education environments.

Phase 3 teams are prototyping infrastructure solutions that deliver and connect digital, in-school, and community-based learning experiences.

About the challenge

The Learning Landscapes Challenge, sponsored by Siegel Family Endowment and the Walton Family Foundation, helps changemakers integrate social, digital, and physical infrastructure to bridge the learning of today with the learning of tomorrow. The multiphase challenge provides entrants with funding, expertise, and access to a collaborative community of like-minded partners that can help scale their solutions.

Multiphase timeline

In Phase 1, eligible entrants were invited to submit concepts for infrastructure solutions. In Phase 2, 38 teams participated in a virtual accelerator to further refine concepts and build the needed partnerships. In Phase 3, five teams will receive highly tailored support as they move from planning to prototyping and implementation.
